Cleaning up Excess Database Files

In my Quotewerks folder, I have a large number of files for every .mdb file (e.g. vendors.mdb), with, what I assume are version files that have extensions beginning with B01, B02, etc.

Only the highest number file of each .mdb name has a current or near current date with each smaller version being older - dating back to 2008 in some cases (yeah, I've been using QW that long).

I'm assuming these get created every time there's an update installed.

Can I delete all the older versions?

The "BXX" files are created when updating QuoteWerks and when running the Medic Utility Database Maintenance routines. As a suggestion to reduce the number of them:

1) Copy all of the "BXX" files to a temporary archive folder

2) Run the Medic Utility Database Maintenance routine (this will create B01 files as a backup)

3) Ensure that the Database Maintenance routine has no errors

4) You can reasonably confidently delete the "BXX" files archived in Step #1

As an aside: how big is your "docs.mdb" file? In my experience, while some customers I've seen have 350MB+, in some multi-User environments QW can become unstable once it hits 100MB. It could be worth considering purging the database of very old documents and/or an upgrading to Corporate and the SQL backend.
